It is quite evident that Havertz values nature and animals highly. Some may be surprised to learn that the German celebrity owns a donkey, but he spends a good portion of his free time snuggling his animals.

Havertz seems to write mostly about his dog, Baloo, on the internet. The animal lover claimed that he adopted the dog as soon as he arrived in England. Havertz said, “We decided upon our arrival that we required a dog and a garden,” on ChelseaTV’s Extra Time. “I used to live in an apartment in Germany that was too small to have a dog in it and didn’t have a garden, which was very evident at the time.

“We started looking for the right candidate one or two months later.” We made a few visits. Breeders whose primary goal was to make money off of the dog were not welcome in our group. After much searching, we’ve finally found the perfect candidate, and we’ve had him for the last six or seven months. That’s his alias, Baloo. We couldn’t be happier with him.

In contrast to his lavishly decorated social media following, the 22-year-old German appears to have a modest existence and value everyday things. Havertz has thrown his support behind the effort to collect funds for the flood-damaged villagers of his hometown of Aachen.

Havertz’s hometown was impacted by the recent major flooding that struck parts of Belgium and Germany.

The remarkable young man has shown a level of maturity that defies his childhood by donating $200,000 to the Red Cross Germany in the form of bespoke boots. The money raised will go toward repairing the harm done to homes and families in his birthplace.
