LEGENDARY PRESENCE: Former City midfielder and club ambassador Mike Summerbee graces the final training session before the showdown with the Czech champions!

A club legend welcomed City before our matchup with Sparta Prague in the UEFA Champions League.Mike Summerbee, a former City midfielder and Club ambassador, attended our last practice prior to our match against the Czech champions.

During his ten-year career at Maine Road in the 1960s and 1970s, the midfielder made 452 appearances, making him one of the best players to ever play for the Club.

It makes sense that he is still very well-liked at City, as evidenced by Pep Guardiola hugging him prior to practice.

In front of our Sparta Prague match, Summerbee watched as the players were put through their paces in the CFA in the lovely fall weather.

After this weekend’s 2-1 victory over Wolves, we are still undefeated in all competitions during 2024–2025, shattering a club record against losing in the Premier League.

However, our opponents are off to a great start as well, having amassed four points from their opening two Champions League games.
