According to Brazilian Jemerson, who accompanied the midfield player to Monaco, Silva’s wardrobe choices were the talk of the locker room. “Bernardo always gets bullied by the team because most of the players say he dresses like a 40 or 50 year old man, like a grandfather even sometimes,” the Portuguese international’s current teammate Ilkay Gundogan has previously said.

However, in a humorous review of the Premier League’s best players on ESPN titled “Fashion Master or Disaster,” he continued to commend his pal as someone “everyone likes.”

Jemerson, a center-back for Metz in the French Premier League, has recently acknowledged that Silva has long been known among other football players for being a lousy dresser.

In an interview, he called him a “very cool” guy, but he also noted, “People made fun of him a lot, saying he liked to wear old men’s clothes.” Every time he appeared, he wore clothing that were no longer in style. He used to get a lot of ribs.

The 29-year-old midfielder for Man City raised concerns earlier this month when he hinted that he would attempt to leave the team in the upcoming season in order to make an emotional comeback to his hometown team, Benfica.

Although Jemerson ridiculed the midfield master’s outfit, he was highly complimentary of his football ability.

“Marking him was really challenging throughout training. He would dribble and, if you thought you were going to win the ball, he would pass or finish really brilliantly and find a way to keep it,” he recalled.
