Marcus Rashford was given a yellow card by a policeman after he had lunch with a Manchester United teammate.
The 26-year-old forward was the team’s leading scorer last season with 32 goals in all games, the highest in his career. He hasn’t been his best this season, though.
Across all competitions this season, he has only managed to score three goals for the Red Devils, and it appears that his misfortune is following him off the field as well.
On Wednesday afternoon, Rashford met another United player, Tyrell Malacia, at the Juniper Restaurant in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
The English athlete was unaware that he had left his McLaren 765 Long Tail racing car, valued at £280,000, parked outside the company on double yellow lines.
But after 15 minutes, a warden grabbed him and gave him a £60 parking ticket for driving at 205 mph.
When Rashford got back to his car around an hour later, he was in for a terrible surprise.
His two yellow cards in a short space of time are neither the first nor the last for a Manchester football player.
Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, had a funny run-in with a traffic cop in August after receiving a parking citation.
