Gabriel Jesus has promised to help Ethan Nwaneri of Arsenal get to the top. He knows a young star when he sees one.
Phil Foden and Cole Palmer, two of the best players in the Premier League, came up through the ranks at Manchester City under the Brazilian.
He also hopes that his 17-year-old Gunners teammate is following the same path to the top.

Gabriel Jesus has predicted great things for Ethan Nwaneri
Nwaneri holds the record for the youngest ever Premier League player
Nwaneri scored a beautiful goal in Arsenal’s 3-0 win at Preston in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, showing off his unique skills once more.
Jesus tells the playmaker that he might need to be patient, just like Foden did at the Etihad. He is excited to see how far the playmaker can go.
He said, “I’ve worked with some great kids, like Phil and Cole. I also worked with James McAtee at City, who is also very good.”
“Since I like football, seeing Ethan in practice and in games is good.”
The Arsenal legend also said Phil Foden had to ‘wait his turn’ before becoming one of the world’s best

“So when I see a young person with this quality, it makes me happy, and I want him to grow up so fast.”
“Because I’m 27, I’m here to help him if he needs anything straight from me.”
At 15 years and 181 days old, Gunners youngster Nwaneri broke the record for the youngest player in Premier League history. He beat Harvey Elliott, who held the record at 16 years and 30 days old.
He beat Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s record of 18 years and 44 days to become the youngest Arsenal player to score in both of his first two starts for the club. He was 17 years and 223 days old.
Mikel Arteta, the manager, thinks he is ready to play more often, but he has a lot of other talented players to choose from.
Jesus tells the kid that if he gets upset with the wait, he should look up to Foden, who was the PFA Player of the Year last season.
“I saw people like Phil waiting for their chance, and now look at Phil,” he said. There is no better player in the world than him.
“So I hope Ethan keeps his toes on the ground and works. Then it will be his time to shine.”
The wonder strike from the young Londoner overshadowed a good night for Jesus, who ended a 274-day goal drought by opening the scoring in the 3-0 Deepdale victory.
The forward worth £45 million says that’s not good enough, but he believes there are good reasons for the delay.
He also said, “It looks like a long time—nine months, I get it.” But people need to know that I’m starting and playing less.
It was hard for me last season because of illness and other things that people don’t understand.
“But I’m not here to explain myself.” I know that because of how good I am, I have to be there and score more goals. I need to and am putting in a lot of work to get there.
Jesus has promised to try his luck more often when he does get the chance.
He said, “The goals are more clear now.” I’m more ready to shoot now.
“Now that things have changed, I try to find the goal.”
“It feels good to be scoring again, and I want to keep doing that when I get the chance.”
“I am here to work, try to be fit and, when I get my chance, enjoy playing football and try to help the team win.”
