๏ปฟAccording to reports, Barcelona wants to sign Sevilla center back Loic Bade.
This 24-year-old player moved from Rennes to Sevilla in 2023. He has played 68 times for his current team in all competitions, getting two goals and setting up two others.
Bade signed an agreement with his current team last month that keeps him there until June 2029, but there is a lot of talk about his future, and Liverpool is said to be interested in signing him.
SPORT says that Barcelona also likes the Frenchman and thinks he would be a great addition to their team in 2025.
The story says that Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also interested. This means that Sevilla will have a very hard time keeping the defender after next summer’s transfer window closes.
Barcelona is “interested in Bade, a defender for Sevilla.”
Bade started his professional career with Le Havre and then moved to Lens in 2020. He only stayed with Lens for one season before going to Rennes, which included a short loan spell at Nottingham Forest where he didn’t play at all.
The defender played well while on loan at Sevilla during the 2022โ23 season. He then made the move official to Estadio Ramon, and he played 33 times for Sevilla last season.
Bade has played eight times this season and set up one goal. These impressive efforts are said to have caught the attention of Barcelona, who may be looking for a new center back in 2025.
Because he still has a lot of time left on his contract, Sevilla is in a good position to negotiate. It remains to be seen if the La Liga leaders are willing to pay what is likely to be a large amount of money to sign him.
Is Araujo going to leave Barcelona next summer?
There is a lot of talk about Ronald Araujo’s future right now. The Uruguayan player’s contract at Camp Nou ends in June 2026, and it is known that the Catalan team is not willing to pay his wage demands.
Because of this, Barcelona might have to replace Araujo in 2025. Bade could come in, but it would be terrible for Hansi Flick’s team to lose their Uruguayan defense.
Man United and Bayern are said to want Araujo because the 25-year-old is seen as one of the best center backs in the world, but he hasn’t played yet this season because of a leg injury.
The defender from South America recently gave good news about his injury, though, and he should be back on the field before the end of November.
