On Monday, information about the possible ways that La Liga giants Barcelona could try to sign Sporting CP star Viktor Gyökeres became public online.
Anyone who might have missed it should know that striker Gyökeres’ name has been all over the news in Catalunya’s city lately.
This comes after rumors spread that Deco and his team really want the Swedish player.
Because Robert Lewandowski is getting older, Barcelona is thought to be looking for new center forwards.
And Gyökeres seems to be the right choice. He has 24 goals and 16 assists in 16 games this season, making him one of the best players on the continent.
There is no doubt that the Blaugrana will have to do everything they can to reach a deal with their opponents in Lisbon.
Biario Sport says that Deco and his team are hoping to use a number of negotiating tools to bring down Gyökeres’ price tag.
The first would be the addition of Vitor Roque, who Sporting wants to sign this summer, in part trade.
In exchange for an even bigger cut, Barcelona would also be ready to give up their buyback and sell-on clauses on Francisco Trincão, who is currently playing at the Estádio José Alvalade.
In addition, Sporting and their star forward are said to have an understanding that a sale will go through if an offer of €60–70 million is made. This leads Sport to the conclusion that:
“Three things could bring Gyöngyi to Barcelona’s attention.”
