Bukayo Saka stated that despite Arsenal’s recent struggles, he still thinks the squad will complete the season with a victory.
The Gunners are now behind the leads in the fight for the title after only gaining one point in their past three Premier League games. The club was also rocked by Edu’s unexpected resignation as sports director.
This season, Saka has been playing fantastically for Arsenal. He stated that he believes they will defeat Manchester City this year following their 2-0 victory over Paris St. Germain in October.
Bukayo Saka cheers on supporters
Saka has not given up hope, though, even if his team is now seven points behind table-topping Liverpool and five points behind Pep Guardiola’s team.
‘It’s not what you see, it’s what you believe,’ is a motto that I always live by,” he stated prior to Arsenal’s match against Inter Milan at San Siro.
“If you consider our team, the caliber of our players, and the fact that it’s only November, I don’t think I’ve lost faith.
We lost two games and drew another, so it’s no surprise that there is a lot of commotion around the club.
However, it’s as critical to maintain composure. We do not wish to incite panic or disorder. We don’t now need that, in my opinion.
“I’m just trying my hardest to support the team in any way I can, and I’ll definitely do that if necessary.”
Arsenal have taken seven points from their opening three games in Europe so far – the same tally as Wednesday night’s opponents.
Saka was on the scoresheet in Arsenal’s statement triumph over PSG at the Emirates and the England international, 23, continued: “In these big games, there’s always a big atmosphere, there’s always a lot of pressure, a lot of intensity and for me I feel it brings the best out of me, so I’m looking forward to it.
“We are undefeated and have an excellent record. We’re going to look to keep that record tomorrow night and that’s all we can really do.”
