Phil Foden’s party-loving mother has reportedly upset neighbours with a ‘deafening two-hour fireworks party’ that they compared to displays at ‘Sydney Harbour Bridge or Disneyland’ in the back garden of her house in leafy Cheshire.
Residents in the upmarket lane in Prestbury had to calm terrified pets and infants when the ‘display-standard’ pyrotechnics began and claimed they were given no warning by Claire Rowlands of the event which lasted from 6pm until 8.30pm on Wednesday night.
One, who lives close by, said: ‘It must have cost thousands.
‘They wouldn’t have looked out of place at the New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Sydney Harbour Bridge or at Disneyland!
‘Not that the neighbours were impressed. Most were concerned about their pets.’
Ms Rowlands, 45, moved into the £3.5million mansion bought by her Manchester City and England star son Phil in 2018. He lives in another property not far away.

An irate neighbor stated: ‘There was no advance notice or warning, resulting in significant discomfort to the residents’ pets and infants.’
The neighbors composed an open letter expressing their disapproval of the Fodens’ behavior and its impact on their lives.
In July, the player’s neighbors labeled him ‘selfish’ and urged the club to intervene, asserting that he hosted a raucous party till midnight including loud gangster rap music, accompanied by his Doberman guard dog howling throughout the day.
A resident informed MailOnline about his mother’s fireworks: ‘They host some extravagant parties there, and it becomes rather loud.’
Individuals do not object to their amusement, although this is absurd.
It is increasingly recognized as a party house, resulting in frequent complaints over noise and loud music.
It is unclear whether Phil, 24, his partner Rebecca Cooke, and their three children attended the celebration with his mother.
But it is believed that the event was postponed one night because City were playing Sporting Lisbon on Bonfire night and Foden would have been back in time for the following evening.
Claire characterized herself as ‘animalistic’ following her arrest for public intoxication and disorderly conduct outside a nightclub in North Wales last September, subsequently receiving a punishment exceeding £200 in January 2024.
She exhibited hostile behavior towards police officers, as seen by body-camera footage capturing her exclaiming for them to ‘f*** off’ prior to being handcuffed and jailed.
During the police interview, Rowlands confessed: ‘I confronted the police officers.’ I exhibited some unpleasant behavior.
It is unclear whether Phil, 24, his partner Rebecca Cooke, and their three children attended the celebration with his mother.
She also informed the police that she behaved ‘like an animal’ while intoxicated.
She stated, “I infrequently consume alcohol, but when I do, I compensate for lost time.” I resemble an animal.
During the proceedings at Llandudno Magistrates Court, PC Stephen Gunning stated that she exhibited slurred speech, stumbled, and had glazed eyes.
She received a £100 fine, together with £85 in prosecution costs and a £40 surcharge, after previously admitting to being drunk and disorderly in a public location.
A neighboring resident remarked on last week’s fireworks display: ‘It was exceedingly loud and persisted for a considerable while.’
‘I know a lot of neighbours were very annoyed because it wasn’t your normal garden fireworks, it was display-standard stuff.
It must have been extremely loud for people residing nearby.
Several neighbors have expressed grievances due to the excessive nature of the situation for a residential area.
Ms. Rowlands was solicited for a statement.
