NEW Boss, NEXT Level: Close up to EXCLUSIVE moments Ruben Amorim beaming on his first day at Man Utd headquarters

Senior Manchester United directors greeted new manager Ruben Amorim when he arrived at Carrington.

Carrington isn’t the only one. It’s residence. Man Utd’s social media account posted the most recent pictures of the team’s new head coach along with a hearty welcome to Amorim at the training facility.

Carlos Fernandes, 29, Adelio Candido, 28, Emanuel Ferro, 45, Jorge Vital, 65, goalkeeping coach, and sports science expert Paulo Barreira were among the five coworkers Amorim brought to Manchester.

On November 11, London time, at around 2:00 pm, thousands of fans watched live as the plane from Lisbon touched down at Manchester Airport. Amorim was then escorted by police to Carrington. The 39-year-old coach shook hands with CEO Omar Berrada at Manchester United’s headquarters and spoke with technical director Jason Wilcox and sports director Dan Ashworth.

Manchester Evening News claims that Amorim greeted the team’s employees as soon as he took over as coach of Manchester United. However, until Manchester United finishes the work permit formalities, the Portuguese coach is unable to perform the responsibilities of a head coach, including leading training sessions.

The three English talents Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire, and Kobbie Mainoo are among the Man Utd players who were not called up to the squad for this FIFA Days, and Amorim will need some time to adjust to the new surroundings.

Amorim had an emotional farewell when Sporting defeated Braga 4-2 in the Portuguese league 12 hours before his flight to Manchester.

Following the game, Amorim said he would talk to Ruud van Nistelrooy about his future and commended the Dutchman for his excellent work in the interim following Erik ten Hag’s dismissal. Four games were led by Van Nistelrooy, who defeated PAOK 2-0 in the Europa League, defeated Leicester 3-0 in the Premier League, and won 5-2 against Leicester in the League Cup round of 16. He also drew 1-1 with Chelsea in the Premier League.

However, Van Nistelrooy will not be a member of Amorim’s new coaching team, as Man Utd revealed yesterday.

On November 24, Amorim will make his Premier League debut when Manchester United travels to Ipswich Town in the 12th round. About three days prior to that, he will train with the complete Manchester United team.

Joao Pereira, the coach of Sporting’s B squad, was hired to take Amorim’s place on a deal that runs through June 2027.

Pereira played for numerous European teams during his playing career, including Benfica, Braga, Sporting, Valencia, Hannover, and Trabzonspor. He represented Portugal in 40 international matches, including Euro 2012 and the 2014 World Cup, and played for the U15, U16, U18, U19, and U21 sides. Following his retirement, he took over as coach of Sporting U23 in July 2022. Two years later, he was promoted to coach of the B squad.
