Fabrizio Romano claims that Ruben Amorim, the new manager of Manchester United, has a lot of faith in Leny Yoro’s abilities.

Due to his remarkable time with Lille in Ligue 1, the Frenchman was regarded as Kylian Mbappe of center-backs and was in high demand during the summer transfer window.

According to reports, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain were all interested in enticing the 19-year-old. But by acquiring his services for United in a deal estimated to be worth €62 million, with possible add-ons of €8 million, INEOS issued a declaration of intent.

When he made his preseason debut, the France under-21 international immediately impressed, but he was sidelined due to an injury sustained against Arsenal in the United States.

The young player has returned to first-team training and should be eligible for selection under Amorim following the international break, but Erik ten Hag, who lost his position in October, was unable to rely on his much-hyped acquisition.

Yoro has not yet made his competitive debut for the Red Devils, but the Portuguese are reportedly excited to work with him.

Romano claims that the center-back is regarded by the former Sporting CP manager and his team as “one of the most interesting players to develop for Man United’s long term project.”

The Italian reporter went on to say: “The club views him as a generational talent, and Amorim and his staff completely agree on that.”

Strong defensive underpinnings support Amorim’s 3-4-3 style, which mostly depends on center defenders to advance the ball from deep.

In that sense, the 6′ 3″ talent, who excels at covering wide channels and feels at ease in possession, has all the necessary skill sets to establish himself as a key member of the new manager’s starting lineup.

Amorim has high regard for several United players, including Yoro. It was recently reported by The Peoples Person that Mason Mount is admired by the 39-year-old head coach.
