After getting dressed to impress for a GQ photo shoot, Cole Palmer quipped that he typically “just wears trackies.”
Alongside fellow Manchester native and England great Kobbie Mainoo, the 22-year-old Chelsea player got into some joyful rags.

The two wore some daring attire for the picture.
The two wore outfits from luxury fashion brands including Burberry, Dior, and Louis Vuitton for the interview, which took place in a studio in London. They were dressed in a range of eye-catching trousers, sweaters, and jackets.
But after they had completed their chats and pictures in the expensive and ostentatious clothing, Palmer said he felt much more comfortable in his regular clothes.
“I just wear trackies,” he added.
Mainoo was keen to attempt to give his new friend some credit, even though he was much more used to expensive menswear companies like Enfants Riches Deprimes, Chrome Hearts, and Bottega.
“I’ve seen you in jeans, bro,” he said.
Mainoo is accustomed to dressing in high-end clothing.
Palmer put on an impressive outfit for the cameras.
Palmer, on the other hand, isn’t scared to spend money.
Following his first England cap, the £130,000-per-week man admitted that he did purchase an ice-blue and platinum Rolex Daytona watch for himself.
After that, he bought a £190,000 Lamborghini, which was very different from his childhood in Wythenshawe.
Palmer, however, has not forgotten his roots and recently returned to his former junior clubs to gift footwear.
“You don’t really have much when you’re growing up, do you know what I mean?” Palmer remembered.
“I recall asking my dad for boots, but he refused to give them to me. You reside in a council home. It’s good to try to give back once you’re in this situation.
Despite having grown up in Manchester, Palmer and Mainoo did not become friends until Euro 2024.
In the German camp, they bonded by playing padel and table tennis.
But even though he played the full 90 minutes of Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal, he joined eight other players in withdrawing from England’s Nations League squad, which incensed captain Harry Kane.
Palmer, however, is desperate for a vacation—more especially, for winter break to return.
In the interview with GQ Magazine, he responded, “Yeah,” when asked about the January respite. The more breaks, the better.
“More people will start getting hurt.”
“It’s a crazy amount of games,” Mainoo said.
