UNSTOPPABLE DETERMINATION: Arsenal Star Ben White Undergoes Surgery but Is Ready to Overcome Pain Barriers and Return to Action

While on vacation overseas, White Ben had a minor operation.

Due to ailments, the 27-year-old defender for Arsenal has had a disappointing season so far. He has missed several weeks of action due to “joint” issues.

However, White has taken advantage of this break to attempt to address a persistent issue after playing the entire ninety minutes for the Gunners in their 1-1 draw away at Chelsea on Sunday.

White is prepared to play through the pain barrier in order to get back to action as soon as possible, and SunSport is aware that this treatment shouldn’t keep him out for an extended period of time.

It is also acknowledged that even if groin pain has been recorded, this is not the cause of the surgery.

White came off the bench to play 45 minutes in the 2-2 draw away at Manchester City on September 22 after starting the first four Premier League games of the season, including a 0-0 draw away at Atalanta in the Champions League in September.

He then missed the following four games across all competitions before coming back to start Arsenal’s next three games starting in mid-October against Liverpool, Bournemouth, and Shakhtar Donetsk.

He has started Arsenal’s previous two games, the 1-0 loss to Inter Milan and the most recent tie at Stamford Bridge, but he made another off-the-bench appearance away to Newcastle this month.

But since the beginning of the season, manager Mikel Arteta has been protective with his right-back, and he hopes that this most recent adjustment will help him return to full fitness and sharpness.

Arteta stated of White prior to the Toon trip: “

Let’s see what happens because he couldn’t train or participate.”

“This has more to do with a joint.”

Arsenal’s injury problems seem to be improving despite this little setback, as captain Martin Odegaard played a full Prem 90 against Chelsea for the first time since August 31.

After returning unharmed, the Norwegian is now anticipated to return for the foreseeable future despite suffering an ankle ligament damage on September 9 while on international service.

After suffering a knee injury against Shakhtar, Riccardo Calafiori has been sidelined for the last three weeks, but there is still hope that he can return during the international break.

Declan Rice [toe], who played against Chelsea with a fractured toe, and Bukayo Saka [muscular] have left this month’s England camp to concentrate on their recuperation.

Arsenal hosts Manchester United on December 4 and then travels to Sporting Lisbon and West Ham after playing Nottingham Forest on November 23.
