The executives of Real Madrid, the dominant team in La Liga, have decided not to pursue a transfer for Jonathan Tah, a star for Bayer Leverkusen.
Marca, who gave a glimpse into the most recent happenings behind the scenes in the Spanish capital on Sunday, said as much.
Naturally, for a while now, the name of defender Tah has been prominently featured in transfer rumors throughout the continent.
This occurs before the German international’s contract at the BayArena expires at the end of the current campaign.
Numerous publications have suggested the previously mentioned Real Madrid as a possible destination.
Los Blancos are even predicted to make a January attack on Carlo Ancelotti’s signature due to the growing injury crisis at the core of his backline.
There won’t be any such move, though, if the most recent rumors that appeared in Spain on Sunday are any indication.
According to a Marca report:
In an attempt to keep the 28-year-old away from Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich, the Santiago Bernabéu’s management announced that “Bayer Leverkusen and Germany center-back Tah has been offered.”
However, Real has responded negatively, stating that “no plans have been made to sign Tah.”
