The players in Europe are used to Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez being rough with them, but on Wednesday, they ran into a rock that even they might not have been able to get past.
During a break from training, the Barcelona forwards jumped at the chance to take a picture with NFL star Von Miller. This happened while Catalonia was being hit by the fierce “Beast from the East” winter storm.
During the NFL off-season, the Denver Broncos linebacker visited the two in Barcelona and couldn’t refuse the chance to take a picture. He captioned the Instagram post “Futbol x Football.”
Messi, Von Miller, and a few other stars sit around a table in the new adidas ad called “Calling all Creators” and talk about how to change sports and people’s lives.
Miller plays outside linebacker for the Broncos. In 2016, he got a $114.5 million (£83 million) deal that made him the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL.
After finishing last in the AFC West and missing the playoffs, the Broncos will be looking for a much better season next time around.
Messi and Suarez both shared the picture again on Instagram. Suarez wrote, “Great to meet you, @VonMiller.”
The Barcelona players are getting ready for their La Liga game against Las Palmas on Thursday night. On Sunday, they play Atletico Madrid in a top-of-the-table match.
They are seven points ahead of second place in the league and haven’t lost a game yet this season.
