Rashford, 27, left the England team after Lee Carsley dismissed him, and he went to New York to watch the Knicks play the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA Cup.
He watched the exciting game from Madison Square Garden, where the Knicks overcame their crosstown rivals 124-122, from a superb courtside seat.
But not every Manchester United supporter was happy with his visit. Rashford has been under fire this season for his poor on-field performances, and some supporters were upset that he went to the NBA game, telling him to concentrate on getting better for United instead of watching basketball.
The young United player, who shared a picture of himself training by himself at an undisclosed location, is also adamant about sticking with the team under Amorim.
Amidst boxing and other equipment, Rashford was spotted sitting on a treadmill in the center of a training area. The football player was reportedly at Nike’s official headquarters.
Following rumors that he would join competitor Puma, he just extended his contract with the sportswear behemoth until 2021. He has been with the company since he was eleven years old.
In an attempt to integrate into Amorim’s system—the 39-year-old coach intends to employ his standard 3-4-3 formation—Rashidford will rejoin United the following week after the rest of his teammates return from international duty.
