The MSN trio unexpectedly reunited in the latest trailer for the legendary PES game (now renamed eFootball).
On the evening of November 21, football fans were very excited when Konami, a Japanese game maker, released a trailer featuring the legendary “MSN” trio (Messi, Suarez, Neymar) in an event promoting the eFootball game series.
In the trailer, Messi video calls to play the game with Neymar. Suarez then appears and the Argentine superstar invites all three to play an eFootball match. Throughout the trailer, the legendary trio continuously “juggles” and recreates classic coordination moves in the Barca shirt.
According to Konami, the reunion of MSN is a “gift” that this game maker gives to celebrate the 125th anniversary of its partner Barcelona. If you have Messi, Suarez, and Neymar in your squad, you will also unlock the trio’s signature shoulder-to-shoulder celebration.
The “MSN” trio was once considered one of the most fearsome attacking lines in football history, helping Barcelona win the great treble in 2015. Messi believes that MLS would be an ideal destination for Neymar, who is having a difficult time in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal.
Messi, Neymar, and Suarez still maintain a group chat to stay in touch. The Argentine superstar admitted that Neymar joining Inter Miami would be “very difficult” because Neymar’s salary at Al Hilal is too high (nearly 2 million euros/week).
PES and FIFA are the two biggest football game brands, competing for many years. Although it does not have the copyright to major tournaments and teams in the world, PES still wins the hearts of many gamers thanks to its realistic gameplay, high difficulty, and closeness to reality.
In Vietnam, this game became popular around the year 2000 with the first PES version on the PS2 system. The phrase “playing PES” became a term to refer to playing this game on PlayStation systems. On social networks, PES player communities attract a large number of participants, with some groups reaching more than 500,000 members.
