‘We’ll Send MRI’: Mikel Arteta Addresses Saka Injury Concerns After Arsenal Star Scores Following England Absence

MIKEL ARTETA has said that he will give anyone who claims that Bukayo Saka is medically fit to play for England a scan of the winger’s ailment.

After Saka and eight other players were cut from the last team, Harry Kane, the captain of the Three Lions, voiced concerns about the commitment of some players.

Saka scored for Arsenal on Saturday after recovering from his thigh injury.

Boss Arteta said: “We can send them the MRI scan, it’s very simple.”

During the 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest, Saka made one and scored one.

“The communication between the national team and Arsenal’s medical staff was very clear,” Arteta continued.

“He needed time to recover.” In one training session, he took part.

Lee Carsley’s original 26-man lineup for the Nations League games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland featured Saka and his teammate Declan Rice.

Both players were replaced in the 1-1 draw at Chelsea.

After Arsenal notified England’s medical staff of Saka’s scan results, they suggested that the midfielder continue receiving treatment at the Gunners.

Rice was playing with a broken toe when he pulled out.

Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill also pulled out, as did Phil Foden and Jack Grealish of Manchester City, as well as Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton. All five of those players played for their teams yesterday.

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold (thigh) and Southampton’s Aaron Ramsdale (finger) also missed Three Lions duty.

Kane’s dismay was obvious, considering he was carrying a knock himself.

“England comes before anything,” he had stated. It comes before the club.

Palmer, 22, participated in 90 minutes of play both prior to and following the international break.

Enzo Maresca, his Blues manager, however, disputes that Chelsea is forcing him to prioritize his club before his nation.

He yelled: “Definitely not. Harry Kane and his remarks are not on my mind.
