Nike has launched a new boot for Vinicius Jr. The company will relaunch the iconic chrome colorway, worn by Ronaldo Fenômeno in 2002. The boot will feature a reference to the Brazilian on the inside of the tongue.

The original model was inspired by the Mercurial Vapor 1, promising speed and control for the player. The boot is inspired by the speed of sports cars.

“It’s a very special feeling to wear these boots and know the whole story behind them. They are the symbol of one of the greatest legends in football, Ronaldo. I can’t wait to wear them in the next matches. I hope to score as many goals as R9 did for them,” said Vini Jr.

In homage to the original boot, each new boot will have an exclusive label, indicating how many pairs it represents in this limited edition (4,500 pairs worldwide).
