Caught Offside says that Manchester United and Arsenal are competing to sign Randal Kolo Muani, a star player for Paris Saint-Germain.

Recently, Manchester United has had trouble with their center forward because Rasmus Hojlund hasn’t been able to show what he can do in the Premier League since going to Old Trafford from Atalanta last year.

Joshua Zirkzee, who was signed this summer, has had a rough start to life in the English Premier League. So far this season, it’s been hard for United to score goals.

Marcus Rashford was put in as a striker against Ipswich Town by Man Utd’s new manager, Ruben Amorim, to help with the number nine spot. The Englishman had a great start to the game and scored the first goal early on.

But his effort as a whole wasn’t convincing enough, and United also had a hard time. In his first game as manager of the Red Devils, Amorim had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

It looks like Manchester United has started looking into ways to improve their strikers in January so that Amorim can turn things around in the second half of the season.

There is a story on Caught Offside that Manchester United are interested in Kolo Muani and could make a move to get him in the winter window.

Arsenal and Newcastle United are also interested in the player, so it won’t be easy for the record Premier League winners to get him. To beat Manchester United and Newcastle in this race, the North London club is even ready to start talks on the deal.

The player is paid about £33 million by Transfermarkt and has a deal with Les Parisiens until 2028. Man United or Arsenal might have to pay a lot to get him in January.

The Gunners have two forwards right now: Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus. Neither has been very good so far this season, and Jesus has yet to score in either the Premier League or the Champions League.

So, Arsenal should get a new striker in January if they want to push for the title in the second half of the season.
