SPECIAL DAY: Tennis legend Nadal visits Man City stars at City Football Academy

One of the most successful players in the sports’ history and arguably its finest ever on clay court, Nadal called time on his illustrious career following Spain’s Davis Cup defeat to the Netherlands.

The 38-year-old turned professional in 2001 and went on to win a remarkable 22 Grand Slam Men’s Singles titles.

A record 14 of those came in the French Open, with Nadal’s 2022 triumph at Roland Garros proving to be his final major title.

The tennis legend is a talented football player, as is well known, and he focused on a new sport while attending the City Football Academy as a special guest.

When Nadal stopped for pictures with players including Pep Guardiola, Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, and Manuel Akanji, the team gave him a hearty welcome and heaped praise on his amazing playing career.
