Barcelona star Lionel Messi can be seen in the music video for Maluma’s new song, which is a tribute to the World Cup hero.
Messi, 36, shows up at the team’s DRV PNK Stadium wearing his Inter Miami jersey. He gives the artist a trophy and then gives him a hug.
Maluma posted on Instagram that the song was coming out with the words “A tribute to the greatest LEO MESSI” and a goat symbol.
It looks like the video was taken on August 4. On that day, the artist posted a bunch of different pictures to Instagram from the stadium in Miami.
He sent out tweets with pictures of Messi signing a Miami Dolphins jersey for him to keep. The two of them also stood for a picture. Also, a Miami shirt with the word “Maluma” on it was given to him. Maluma seems to really enjoy soccer; she has shared pictures of herself on social media wearing the shirt of the Colombian national team.
Miami beat Nashville in the League Cup final, and it came down to penalties. Messi, who has had a busy start to life in the US, was the hero.
He also took his Miami team to the US Open Cup final on Wednesday night. On September 27, they will play Houston Dynamo in that game.
In Wednesday’s nail-biting game, Messi set up two goals, both of which were scored by Leonardo Campana. This forced extra time.
That’s where he scored the penalty that sent Miami to its second straight Cup final.
Messi will play in his first-ever MLS road game on Saturday against the New York Red Bulls. This will be another step in his adjustment to life in the US.
As a Latin Grammy Award-winning musician, Maluma is very famous. She has 63 million Instagram followers and has had a number of hit singles in the region.
It moved Messi to write in a statement last week that Miami had been so nice to him and his family.
During a news conference, he said, “It’s been an impressive welcome from the beginning, from the time I arrived.”
“Right now, I can promise you that I’m really happy with the choice we made.” I just came to play football and keep having fun with it,β
Messi, a co-owner of Miami, said in July, “He’s at the point in his career where he’s done everything a soccer player can do in a sport. As one of the greatest players, if not the greatest player to ever play the game.”
He needs to eat again. I think he was on the practice field. I know he’s still hungry.
