The Manchester City star is taking it easy in the Mediterranean with his girlfriend Sasha Attwood after a tough season that was cut short by Covid.

Grealish still found time to start his pre-season early in Athens, though.

He posted on Wednesday to his 5.1 million social media followers with the words “Working in the heat” and a bunch of sun, running, and football emojis. It has been liked over 190,000 times already.

Pictures of him hit a football on a sandy field with blue skies, ran across a green field at a training center, volleyed a ball into an empty goal, and posed in only his shorts, socks, and boots are shown.

Grealish will officially start preseason with City again on Monday. Pep Guardiola’s team is trying to protect their Premier League title.

The 26-year-old shared a similar set of training photos while on vacation on the Greek island of Santorini. Shay Given and Carlos Sanchez, who used to play for Aston Villa with him, commented to show their support.

Grealish took a plane to the capital city to train alone at the complex of Olympiacos, a team based in Athens.

He had practiced with a small club on Santorini before, and they were willing to move their under-10s camp to make room for him.
