Everton are prepared to part ways with Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the upcoming January transfer window if a suitable offer, potentially around £20 million, is made. The 27-year-old striker, who has been with the club for eight years, is entering the final months of his contract, set to expire in June, and has no plans to renew.
Facing significant financial difficulties, including Dan Friedkin’s pending £600 million takeover, Everton are eager to avoid losing Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer. This situation opens the door for bids, with the player also eligible to negotiate pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs starting in January.
AC Milan is reportedly interested in the forward, while Premier League clubs like West Ham and Newcastle, who showed interest over the summer, remain potential suitors. Arsenal could also consider him to bolster their title ambitions under Mikel Arteta.
Although Calvert-Lewin has netted only twice in 14 appearances this season, his last standout campaign was in 2020/21 when he scored 16 Premier League goals. An England international with 11 caps, his most recent appearance for the Three Lions was during the Euro 2020 quarter-final victory against Ukraine.
