This initiative utilizes the PUMA AI Creator tool, which employs generative AI technology to enable fans to craft their ideal designs using text prompts, customization features, and intuitive sliders.

City players Ederson, Stefan Ortega, and Rico Lewis were the first to experiment with the tool, creating a special goalkeeper kit inspired by a football goal’s net. This will be the first AI-designed kit to be worn in a match later this season.

Ederson expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It’s the first time I’ve designed a shirt with Stefan and Rico, and I’m thrilled to see our creation on the pitch. It looks fantastic, and the colors remind me of Brazil.”

Fans can submit their designs until December 20th, after which Manchester City and Puma will select the top ten. Public voting will start in January to choose the winning kit, which will be worn by City players and available for purchase.

Ivan Dashkov, Head of Emerging Marketing Tech at Puma, remarked, “PUMA AI Creator is one-way emerging technology connects fans more closely with the game they love.”

Nuria Tarre, Chief Marketing & Fan Experience Officer for City Football Group, added, “We believe fandom can extend globally across clubs. Technology is opening doors, and we’re embracing it to create new opportunities.”
