PRICE GIFT: Arsenal ‘considering’ January move for West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus

Arsenal are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus in the January transfer window as they aim to strengthen their squad for a competitive push across all fronts this season. Currently third in the Premier League, the Gunners are eyeing reinforcements to maintain their momentum in the Champions League, domestic cups, and league campaign.

According to TBR Football, citing journalist Graeme Bailey, Arsenal are “considering” a move for Kudus, who has been a standout performer for the Hammers. However, West Ham may entertain offers only near Kudus’ £80 million release clause, particularly as they look to raise funds for potential squad improvements and to address uncertainties surrounding manager Julen Lopetegui’s future.

Despite Kudus’ versatility and talent, Arsenal might hesitate to invest heavily in a winger at this stage. With Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard already excelling in wide positions, Mikel Arteta could deprioritize this area, especially considering the steep asking price. Furthermore, Arsenal’s focus may lie in securing a top striker to bolster their attacking options, making a move for Kudus more likely in the summer rather than mid-season.

The Gunners remain cautious about splashing big money on a player who might not have a guaranteed starting role but could revisit the idea as they assess their needs for the next campaign.
