Dutch pundit Rene van der Gijp has predicted that PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ismael Saibari will eventually join Arsenal. The 23-year-old Morocco international has been a standout performer for PSV this season, contributing four goals and six assists in 16 appearances. Playing as a central attacking midfielder, Saibari shares a similar role to Martin Ødegaard at Arsenal, which adds weight to van der Gijp’s prediction.
On the Vandaag Inside podcast, van der Gijp expressed his belief that Saibari has the potential to reach the European elite. He emphasized, “I’m really convinced” that Saibari will eventually make the move to Arsenal, calling him the standout talent in PSV’s squad and praising his all-around abilities and drive.
However, Arsenal’s current midfield setup may not prioritize a move for Saibari at this time. With Ødegaard performing at a high level, and 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri now his immediate backup, it seems unlikely that Arsenal would target another attacking midfielder. Instead, the club may focus on bolstering their wide attacking positions. A marquee winger could be on their radar, especially with the potential signing of Nico Williams, whose willingness to move to the Premier League could prompt Arsenal to take action.
