Barcelona has officially announced the signing of Malian midfielder Ibrahim Diarra.
In their statement, the club confirmed, “FC Barcelona and the Africa Foot Academy have reached an agreement for the transfer of the Malian midfielder, who signs for the remainder of the season and three more, until June 30, 2028.”
Born on December 12, 2006, in Mali, Diarra is a left-footed midfielder known for his ball skills and mobility. He is recognized for his size, touch, physical strength, and versatility, allowing him to also play as a winger.
Trained at the Africa Foot Academy, Diarra made a notable impact at the 2023 U-17 World Cup, where he captained the Mali team to a fourth-place finish, scoring five goals and providing four assists. His impressive performances have positioned him as a promising talent for the future at Barcelona.
