Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League is apparently interested in Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen ahead of the summer transfer season.
Speaking with the micspod, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano gave the following transfer update.
“Kevin de Bruyne, Marc André ter Stegen, and Mohamed Salah are some of the big names that Saudi Arabian clubs have on their list for the summer,” he explained.
“Let’s see if they can work it out; it’s true that Ter Stegen is very much loved by Al Ittihad.”
By luring players like Fabinho, N’Golo Kante, and Karim Benzema to the team, Al-Ittihad has already made large roster investments.
The Saudi teams may be willing to make Barcelona a serious offer because they have shown in the past that they have the financial resources to sign big names.
Though it’s uncertain if Ter Stegen will be convinced to visit the Middle East, it is known that the Catalans are eager to finalize a big transaction this summer in order to ease their financial troubles.
