The Portuguese midfielder paid tribute to match winner Amad Diallo’s ‘unstoppable’ form
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has praised Amad Diallo’s recent performances, emphasizing the winger’s growth and impact on the team.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Fernandes highlighted Diallo’s energy and effectiveness:
“He’s been doing great things and there’s a lot more to come. He’s always active, always alive, and this is why he gets the penalty and his goal.”
Diallo has tallied two goals and six assists in the Premier League this season, making him one of the league’s standout creators. Only Bukayo Saka (10) and Mohamed Salah (nine) have recorded more assists this campaign.
Since manager Erik ten Hag’s departure, Diallo has seen increased opportunities, starting five league games compared to just four before. Fernandes commended his hunger for success:
“He is eager for more. When you do the right things, you get your chances, you get goals, you get momentum.”
The Portuguese playmaker expressed a desire to see Diallo maintain his current form while flying under the radar:
“I want to keep him under the radar so that he goes still more and more because I want Amad to do this every game.”
Fernandes concluded by calling for consistency across the squad:
“We know we have a quality team, but not everyone has shown their quality at its best.”
Diallo’s development has been a bright spot for United this season, providing a glimpse of the potential within the team’s younger players.
