Mateo, who plays for Inter Miami Academy and dons the iconic number ten jersey, has been a star in youth competitions around the United States, just like his well-known father before him. One of Messi’s offspring has previously demonstrated his football skills. His eleven-year-old son Thiago led the Inter Miami U12 team to victory prior to this month’s Easter International Cup.

In contrast to his more subdued father and brother, Mateo stands out from his family for his amusing pranks and irreverent public shows of passion.

Mateo’s mother made headlines in 2022 when she disciplined him twice for actions like jumping on chairs and throwing lollipops at World Cup fans. He also had a fit when his father disregarded him during Argentina’s World Cup celebrations.
