Barcelona are reportedly keen on signing Lucien Agoume, the 22-year-old holding midfielder currently playing for Sevilla. Agoume joined Sevilla from Inter Milan for €4 million this summer and has quickly become a key player, making 17 appearances this season. His ability to control the midfield and effectively circulate possession has drawn the interest of Barcelona.
However, a potential transfer could be complicated. Sevilla currently owns only 50% of Agoume’s rights and has the option to purchase another 40% for €4 million next summer. This situation may hinder Barcelona’s attempts to secure the player, as Sevilla would retain a larger share of his rights.
Barcelona will also face competition from Arsenal, where coach Mikel Arteta views Agoume as a priority target to eventually replace Thomas Partey. With both clubs vying for his signature, the race for Agoume could become increasingly competitive as the transfer window approaches.
