‘Worry about him’ – Arsenal star could miss six weeks after injury blow as Liverpool set for major title race boost

Bukayo Saka picked up a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s victory over Crystal Palace, leaving the Gunners six points adrift of Liverpool in the Premier League. Some Arsenal supporters might have been cheering for their North London rivals on Sunday night, but those hoping for Tottenham Hotspur to defeat Liverpool were left disappointed.

Liverpool showed their strength with a dominant 6-3 win over Spurs, consolidating their position at the top of the Premier League as Christmas approaches. Under Arne Slot, Liverpool is now five points ahead of second-place Chelsea and six points clear of Arsenal, with a game in hand.

The Gunners had been optimistic about finally securing the title after finishing as runners-up for the past two seasons. However, with the current situation, their chances of bridging the gap to Liverpool are looking increasingly difficult, even after their strong 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace, which briefly put pressure on the Reds.

The challenge of catching Liverpool now appears even harder, as they are likely to be without Bukayo Saka for some time. The star winger was substituted in the first half against Palace due to a hamstring concern and was seen leaving the stadium on crutches. Mikel Arteta voiced his concerns, saying, “He felt something in his hamstring and couldn’t continue. He will be assessed, so I’m quite worried about this.”
