Last night, Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks faced Real Madrid Basket in a friendly game before the season. Before entering the NBA, Doncic had been with Real Madrid Basket since he was thirteen years old.
The Slovenian ball defender received a warm welcome when returning to his hometown. About 13,000 Madrid supporters flocked to the venue to watch Doncic play for his former team.
Before the match, Florentino Perez, the head of state, visited the field to present Doncic with a unique Real Madrid membership badge.
I am at a loss for words, yet this is a very significant day. “I’ve been anticipating this game all summer,” Doncic remarked. “I had the opportunity to see former teammates and people who had been with me for a long time.””I appreciate everything!”
Among the Real Madrid men’s soccer players who did not make the national squad were Brahim Diaz, Dani Ceballos, David Alaba, Thibaut Courtois, Toni Kroos, and Lucas Vazquez. To witness the game, they were all at Wizink Arena.
The 1999-born player was not in the best of form and was only able to play five minutes due to hip pain following a recent session. He received nine points. In the end, Real Madrid Basket defeated the Dallas Mavericks 123–127.
