‘NIGHTMARE’: Manchester United player ratings vs Newcastle , Joshua Zirkzee becomes sinner and Onana faces BIG criticism from his failure

Manchester United suffered a defeat against Newcastle in their last Premier League match of the year. Below are the player ratings from the game at Old Trafford.

This loss marks United’s ninth in the Premier League this season, with Newcastle handing Ruben Amorim’s team their fifth defeat in six league matches.

United struggled in the opening 20 minutes, conceding goals from Alexander Isak and Joelinton. Sandro Tonali nearly extended Newcastle’s lead to 3-0 but hit the post instead.

After Joshua Zirkzee was substituted for Kobbie Mainoo in the 33rd minute, United managed to create some chances but failed to score for the third consecutive match. Harry Maguire came closest, hitting the upright with a header in the second half.

Both of Newcastle’s first-half goals came from his side, raising questions about his role in the team. Rating: 4

Casemiro

Should have been substituted instead of Zirkzee. He was the least effective Brazilian midfielder on the pitch and missed a significant opportunity just before halftime. Rating: 2
