According to the Spanish publication Defensa Central, the pursuit of Schlotterbeck is being led by Perez, who plans to discuss the potential transfer with the Bundesliga club during their upcoming UEFA Champions League match. Dortmund is expected to demand between €60 and €70 million to release the center back.

Nico Schlotterbeck’s career has seen significant growth since he joined Borussia Dortmund from SC Freiburg in July 2022. The 24-year-old defender, born in Waiblingen, honed his skills at five different German clubs before making his mark at SC Freiburg’s youth academy.

At Dortmund, Schlotterbeck has emerged as one of the Bundesliga’s top young talents, earning a spot on the German national team. He has made nearly 100 appearances for Dortmund, contributing six goals and twelve assists.
