Barcelona planning to sign Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure

Bruno Alemany of Cadena SER stated earlier this week that he believed Barcelona would select Abdoulaye Doucoure, a player for Everton. Mane advised the Catalan team to sign the Everton player from Mali the following season.

Everton

Doucoure’s season at Everton is going well, and he’s had some outstanding last-third displays. In every aspect of the game, the Mali star has helped Everton win 15 games this season with four goals and one assist.

With 1.5 tackles, 0.7 interceptions, 0.6 clearances, 1.7 shots, 1.3 critical passes, and 1.2 dribbles per Premier League game, this 30-year-old has been a reliable player in the opposing team’s half. In the English first division, he made 82.3% of his attempts at passing the ball, demonstrating his exceptional skill (statistics from who scored).

His current contract at Goodison Park expires in the summer of 2025. However, given Everton’s recent financial difficulties, Doucoure may be sold in January or at the end of the current campaign.

Is it time for Everton manager Sean Dyche to let Doucoure go?

Doucoure knows when to try to recover the ball for his team and is skilled at tackling it. He can run with the ball really well and puts in a lot of effort on defense for his team.

The Mali player has the vision to create a few solid chances for his teammates in the last third and can hit the ball strongly from a distance. He often plays as a box-to-box midfielder, but he can also play as an attacking or defensive midfielder if instructed to do so by his manager.
