Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a January move for Republic of Ireland striker Evan Ferguson, as they look to bolster their attacking options. The Brighton forward has been identified as a potential target to enhance their forward line alongside their plans to recruit a wide attacker.
Ferguson, 20, has faced a challenging season with limited minutes due to an ankle injury and the strong form of Brighton teammates Danny Welbeck and Joao Pedro. Despite these setbacks, his talent has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.
TalkSPORT reports that Arsenal are hoping to capitalize on his situation and secure the young striker’s services. However, competition is expected, with Fulham and West Ham also keen on exploring a deal for the Brighton talent.
Brighton, on their part, are reportedly considering including a mandatory buy option should they permit Ferguson to leave on loan during the winter transfer window. Meanwhile, Ferguson has registered one goal in 12 Premier League appearances this season.

‘If I was Arsenal and I had the money I would go out and buy Isak, I’d break the bank for him,’ the ex-Arsenal and England midfielder said.
‘I think he’s the best of the best and he takes Arsenal to another level.
‘Hopefully, if Gabriel Jesus can keep doing what he’s doing, they won’t have to [sign anyone], but I’m looking at the all-round picture and I’m looking at next season as well.
‘I think if they can get hold of Isak, who I think is the best in the business at the moment, I think that would be a massive coup for Arsenal. Sorry, Newcastle fans!’
