Jorginho recently made a special appearance at an Arsenal in the Community (Holiday Activities and Food) event held at the No More Red pitch in King’s Square, Islington. Participating in a coaching session and interacting with the young players, the Arsenal midfielder selected the best player and presented each participant with a signed football and a bag at the conclusion of the practice.

With the support of Islington Council, the Positive Futures programme has been operating successfully for 20 years. Every week, it hosts free football games in six local locations, providing youngsters with safe places to hang out after school. The program offers participants support and positive role models outside of football, so it’s not only about football.

Sessions are free for children aged 8 to 16 and benefit more than 500 children and teenagers annually. Throughout the summer, the program offers kids free lunches every day and short courses on local farms where they may play football from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
