After receiving a red card against Valencia, Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. was given a two-game La Liga suspension.
The forthcoming games against Real Valladolid away and Las Palmas at home will not include the Brazilian international.
But in the Supercup, Vinicius Jr. will be a candidate for selection.
He was given a straight red card for pushing the opposing goalie, Stole Dimitrievski, in the head during the second half of the match against Valencia, which led to his suspension.
Real Madrid has been fined β¬700, while Vinicius Jr. has been fined β¬600 in addition to the suspension.
Vinicius Jr. apologized for his behavior on social media after the event.
