Real Madrid is the current team of Austrian international football player David Alaba. Alaba has had a remarkable career, playing for Bayern Munich and the Spanish powerhouses and winning three Champions Leagues and eleven league titles. Alaba has made a name for herself in the fashion industry outside of the field, frequently recognizing the best designers in Europe on the front row. Alaba attended several Paris Fashion Week shows this season, including those by Ami, Rhude, and Wales Bonner. In the latter instance, he celebrated the English designer’s most recent collection with a post-show supper.

During Paris Fashion Week, what drew your eye?

The Wales Bonner show and the supper Grace and I were hosting were the highlights for me.

What was your favorite Wales Bonner show outfit?

I was totally enamored with the combination of the deep blue sequined leather jacket and the pale denim leggings.

Football is being creatively incorporated into collections by designer businesses. Botter debuted their Adidas Predators on the runway, and Off White, Martine Rose, and Balenciaga recently created their own uniform designs. What do you think about the connection between football and fashion?

I do have positive thoughts about this connection. On the other hand, the influences can also be observed in football; at Real Madrid last year, we collaborated with Y3. I can attest to the fact that many of my coworkers share my intense passion for fashion and frequently attend fashion weeks.

What would you say about your personal style?

I’m not sure whether this has a name because it comes naturally to me. How does wearing this ensemble feel? Here, too, I’m highly adaptable; I don’t have a particular routine.

Who, besides you, do you believe to be the most fashionable person in the Real Madrid team’s locker room?
