Over the course of 12 courses, a group of young people from the Ark Elvin Academy, the Young Brent Foundation in London, and the HideOut youth zone in Manchester will receive assistance and direction from the talkSPORT programming team as they plan, create, record, and edit podcasts.

In addition to teaching students how to record and report, the Report Academy will provide them a taste of the range of careers in sports journalism. Some well-known sports people from talkSPORT will be interviewed, as well as Raheem himself.

“The talkSPORT team is excited to be supporting the launch of the Youth Broadcast Academy,” said Lee Clayton, head of talkSPORT. Since TalkSPORT is the largest sports radio station globally, it is the ideal venue for the Academy. We are excited to support the Raheem Sterling Foundation in continuing their excellent work in social mobility and education. I can’t wait to demonstrate the kids and young adults the enjoyable aspects of sports journalism and to witness the amazing work they produce.
