After Spain’s Davis Cup loss to the Netherlands, Rafael Nadal, one of the sport’s most successful players and possibly its best player ever on clay, ended his remarkable career.

After going professional in 2001, the 38-year-old went on to win an incredible 22 Grand Slam Men’s Singles titles.

Of those, a record 14 occurred in the French Open, with Nadal’s victory at Roland Garros in 2022 turning out to be his last major championship.

As is well known, the tennis icon is a gifted football player who, as a special guest at the City Football Academy, concentrated on a new sport.The team welcomed Nadal warmly and showered him with accolades for his incredible playing career when he paused for photos with players including Manuel Akanji, Jack Grealish, Erling Haaland, and Pep Guardiola.
