In order to spend a vacation with his wife Antonela, Lionel Messi flew to Barcelona.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward saw a familiar face as he made his way back to the place where he played for nearly his whole career.

In one of the photos Antonela posted of their vacation, Messi’s former Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets was seen eating at Chalito, a beachside eatery owned by Luis Suarez.

She expressed: “How much we have wanted to go to Chalito… and with friends we love very much.”

Messi and Busquets played together in the Barcelona first team for 13 years.

And despite the Argentine’s transfer to PSG, they have obviously stayed buddies.

Suarez was unable to attend the reunion because he was later sold to Atletico Madrid.

Sofi Balbi, the Uruguayan’s wife, expressed her disappointment at missing it by saying, “I would die to be there.” You seem very joyful and lovely. You are all loved by me.

Only a few days after PSG’s 3-3 draw with Strasbourg, Messi took a plane to Spain.

The Ligue 1 championship that Mauricio Pochettino’s team gave up to Lille the previous season has already been reclaimed.
