Manchester United have reportedly offered Anthony Martial to Real Madrid for around £13 million as they look to offload the French striker before the transfer deadline on Friday. The club is eager to make a move, especially given Martial’s fluctuating form and injury history.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti had previously ruled out any further signings this month, stating, “I rule it out. One hundred per cent.” However, United’s cut-price offer might pique the interest of the Spanish giants, particularly after Vinicius Jr. suffered an injury over the weekend, and with Karim Benzema’s departure to the Saudi Pro League leaving a gap in the squad.

According to Fichajes, Real Madrid is weighing the possibility of acquiring Martial, especially if he fits into Ancelotti’s tactical setup. There is also the option of taking him on loan without a commitment to a permanent transfer.

Real Madrid has already made significant moves in the transfer market, including the signing of Jude Bellingham for £115 million, along with additions like Arda Guler, Fran Garcia, Joselu, and Kepa Arrizabalaga. The club’s management is also eyeing a potential summer signing of Kylian Mbappe, who will be out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain.

Martial, 27, has had a mixed career at Manchester United, having made 300 appearances and scored 88 goals. He started in United’s recent 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest and had a brief appearance against Tottenham the week prior. However, he spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan at Sevilla, where he struggled, scoring just once in 12 matches.
