Football players from both teams in the north London Premier League attended one of the most prestigious exhibitions during London Fashion Week, putting aside their animosity.
Behind a big marquee, the Burberry Autumn/Winter 2024 event was held outside Victoria Park in London. Players from Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal were seen mingling amicably, putting their club loyalty aside for the night.
Arsenal players Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard were present; the former, who scored in Saturday’s 5-0 thumping of struggling Burnley, was dressed in a big sheepskin coat to keep warm.
Ødegaard chose a melancholy ensemble consisting of a useful knitted zippered jumper underneath a black Harrington jacket.
While waiting for the concert to begin, Saka was seen on the green carpet taking selfies with rapper Central CEE and actor Barry Keoghan, who is getting greater recognition for his parts in “The Banshees of Inisherin” and “Saltburn.”
Both current and former Spurs players lined up for the game, with Son Heung-Min, the club captain, leading the way and looking like a runway star in his stylish raincoat and disheveled hair.
Saka and Son are both brand ambassadors for Burberry; in fact, they served as the faces of the brand’s spring/summer campaign last year. The South Korean star had great support from former Spurs players Gareth Bale and Dele Alli, who were in attendance with their partners.
One year after Bale declared his retirement, he was seen in the first row with his wife Emma Rhys-Jones and Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell, who was wearing his club colors in a very fashionable sleeveless vest.
Alli, a former England and Tottenham midfielder who currently plays for Everton, was also spotted talking to Chilwell. For the occasion, Alli wore his finest fatigues and dyed his hair.
The football players later mingled with a number of celebrities, including actors Olivia Colman and Joanna Lumley, supermodels Cara Delevingne and Naomi Campbell, and even well-known members of the British rap industry Dizzee Rascal, Kano, and Skepta.
