With the children at Edward Betham C of E Primary School in Greenford, west London, Arsenal star Bukayo Saka scored a huge goal this week.
The England player immediately became well-known when he returned to his former school. Gunner excelled as a player for his club and received all As when he was in school. He remembers that period of time as being joyful.
Saka posted on Twitter, “It was a special feeling to return to my elementary school yesterday,” after impressing the children and giving them new New Balance clothing for the future. A few years ago, I recall being in the same boat as all the young children with lofty goals. I hope they’ll believe they can accomplish anything after I return!
In addition to providing football shirts for the next generation to wear, New Balance and Bukayo Saka also painted a mural of Saka at the school to serve as an example for the pupils.
Since making his debut for the north London club, Saka, whose family hails from Nigeria, has been a bright spot for the Gunners. “He’s very humble and polite, but he also has that character, and on the field he can demand the ball,” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta reportedly remarked of the youngster. He is capable of doing and making uncommon decisions for his age.
Saka was nominated for Freedom of the Borough last summer by Ealing Council chairman Peter Mason.
Regarding Saka’s accomplishments, Councillor Mason stated: “Just a few short years ago, Bukayo Saka used to play football on the Brentside Playing Fields and the fields at Greenford High.”
The fact that one of our own represented England at Wembley in Euro 2020 fills everyone in Ealing with pride. Everyone can find inspiration, hope, and support in this remarkable narrative of talent and achievement.
