In a chic new commercial released Thursday, Jude Bellingham and French football icon Zinedine Zidane promoted Adidas’ Y-3 line.
During his remarkable tenure at the Bernabeu, Zidane wore Bellingham’s No. 5 shirt. He was a member of Real Madrid’s early 2000s Galacticos team, which featured players like David Beckham, Luis Figo, and Ronaldo Nazario.
Bellingham has always been open about his passion for Zidane, acknowledging that he felt “like a child” when he first saw the legend at the 2022 Champions League final. Despite this, Bellingham looked calm and collected as he stood with the World Cup champion in all-black outfits.
.
Days after Three Lions teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold donned them for Liverpool, the England star teased the boots in November by donning an unreleased pair of Adidas Predators that looked like Zidane.
‘One team, two generations, three stripes,’ Adidas captioned the new Y-3 commercial and shared the images on social media on Wednesday, receiving a great response from amazed fans.
Rio Ferdinand, a former Manchester United player, responded to the advertisement with an icy emoji, while Ian Wright, a great of Arsenal, said ‘OKAY!!!!!!!’.
Since spending £113 million to join Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund last summer, Bellingham has thrived at the Bernabeu.
The 20-year-old phenom has now contributed 29 goals in 31 games across all competitions in his incredible Real Madrid debut season, scoring 20 goals and dishing out nine assists.
With a 2-1 aggregate victory over RB Leipzig on Wednesday, Real Madrid advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals and now leads La Liga by seven points, ahead of Girona in second place.
