EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal plunged into injury crisis as Kai Havertz picked up an injury during the Gunners’ training camp in Dubai – leaving Mikel Arteta without a fit veteran striker😧

Kai Havertz, a striker for Arsenal, had a worrisome injury scare while the team was in Dubai for training.

According to Mail Sport, the Germany international experienced the problem during a practice earlier this week.

Although the exact diagnosis is still pending, sources have suggested that the issue is related to the hamstrings.

Havertz will probably miss some time owing to a hamstring injury, however, the club will confirm the severity of the problem in due course.

Given that Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, and Gabriel Martinelli are all out due to injury, Mikel Arteta will be hoping that any absences are as minor as possible.

Mikel Arteta is already missing a number of forward options and admitted that he was disappointed the club did not invest in an attacker in January

With 15 goals this season, Havertz leads the team in scoring, and his absence would be a serious setback to the team’s hopes of overtaking Liverpool at the top of the table.

Takehiro Tomiyasu, a star for Arsenal, may need a second knee operation, which raises questions about his long-term fitness.

After missing the beginning of the season due to a knee injury that required three months to recuperate from, the Japan defender has only played six minutes of football this season, making his debut as a late substitute in the Carabao Cup victory over Southampton in October.

However, he hasn’t played since that victory against the Saints due to an injury setback, and Mail Sport is aware that concerns are growing regarding Tomiyasu’s problematic knee, with doctors reportedly considering sending their versatile defender for surgery to try to fix the problem.

A procedure would certainly keep Tomiyasu out of commission for a considerable amount of time and necessitate a protracted recovery regimen.

The 26-year-old was sidelined for three months in 2023 after undergoing an initial knee procedure.

Given that Tomiyasu’s time at Arsenal has already been marred by injury problems, a second knee operation would be devastating.

Arsenal star Takehiro Tomiyasu’s long-term fitness is of growing concern with the prospect of a second knee operation explored by the club

“Tomi has done some stuff on the pitch, but now because it’s been a long-term injury, we need to see how quickly he can progress and how he reacts,” head coach Mikel Arteta said in a statement last month regarding Tomiyasu’s fitness.

However, there is currently significant skepticism over Tomiyasu’s recuperation, as a result of discussions about a possible procedure.

Tomiyasu has 18 months left on his contract, but since Arsenal has a strong defense, the defender might consider offers at the end of the current campaign.

However, if Tomiyasu has surgery, any intentions to sell him may have to be put on hold. Tomiyasu did not go to Dubai on the club’s mid-winter trip.

Ben White’s impending return to fitness will lessen the impact of Tomiyasu’s continued absence.

White, who had knee surgery in November, is expected to make a comeback and might be included in the team for this weekend’s match against Leicester.
