Croatia captain Luka Modrić has returned to his hometown of Zadar on the Croatian coast for a short break.

Looking fit, Modrić hit the beach on Monday with good friend Marko Oštrić to enjoy the sun, sea and paddle boarding.

Modrić, who loves spending time back in Zadar in the summer, can’t relax too much. Modrić, who helped Real Madrid win the Spanish La Liga title last week, will soon be back on the pitch for his club in the Champions League.

Modrić, who made his debut for Croatia in 2006, has 127 caps for his country and won a silver medal at the 2018 World Cup with Croatia in Russia. He has also won four European titles with Real, the Ballon d’Or, the World Cup Golden Ball and the AIPS Male Athlete of the Year award in 2018.
